The choice comes down to three options, aluminium, timber and smartwood. Aluminium is the clean, practical choice: durable, moisture resistant and available in 25mm or 50mm slat sizes to suit any window. Timber brings natural warmth and grain and is the right call for living rooms and studies where character matters. Smartwood gives you the look of timber with the practicality of a PVC slat, washable, fade resistant and built to handle kitchens, bathrooms and high-humidity rooms without issue. We'll help you work out what fits each space when we visit.

Our aluminium slats are manufactured at 20% above industry standard thickness, built to hold their shape and operate smoothly for years. Timber slats are genuine basswood with a quality painted finish. Smartwood slats are engineered specifically for the Australian climate, residential and commercial. Across all three, we only supply what we'd put in our own home.

The practical, durable choice. Aluminium venetians control light precisely, handle moisture well, and suit almost any room in the house. Available in 25mm slats for a slimline look or 50mm for a bolder, more contemporary finish and a wide range of colours from classic whites to brushed aluminium and black satin.

Real basswood slats with the warmth and grain that only natural timber delivers. Timber venetians bring character to a room, a popular choice for living areas, bedrooms and studies where the finish matters as much as the function. Available in a range of contemporary colours and natural grain stains.

Smartwood Venetian Blinds
The timber look without the limitations. Smartwood slats are moisture resistant, washable, fade resistant and built for the rooms timber can't handle. Available in 50mm and 63mm slat sizes, the 63mm option in particular carries a shutter-like presence that suits larger windows and more considered interiors.

Before we talk materials or slat sizes, we want to understand how you use the space, how much light you want, whether humidity is a factor, and what you want the finished blind to look and feel like. The right venetian for a bathroom is a different conversation to the right one for a study.

One of our team visits your home with finish samples across all three materials and takes precise measurements. We'll talk through slat size options and help you land on the right combination of material and finish for each window.

Once you've made your selection, your blinds are ordered to your exact window dimensions. We'll confirm the details and give you a clear timeline for installation.

A venetian that isn't hung level or doesn't tilt cleanly is immediately obvious. We install every blind ourselves and don't leave until each one operates exactly as it should.
